The nrsi round of the Senior Competition was concluded on Saturday in dull weather. Chief interest centred in. tie Rangers v. Jfomad match, which was played at r.ugiisn Par If before a fair crowd. Results: - NOMADS (3) v. RANGERS (.2;. The latter centied to , ' who was unmarked and he opened the scor with a r.eat shot. A hefty H-k relieved c pressure, but Hawic secured and eent forward to Grant, wLo beat several players and gave Perty no chance with a splendkl shot. With tho scores lcvol both sides made desperate efforts to get the lead, and a Rangers' attack left Pilling, with an open, goal, but he shot wide. From the goal kick Nomads attacked •strongly, and bombarded the dangers' goal, Spooner eventually scoring with a clover Ghot. The second half opened wnartly, Nomada attacking yer medium of Spencer. Rangeis defended stubbornly and Perry saved magnificently at the expense of a corner, which was tleared. Nomads, however, continued to force play and after eeveral aborlive corners a- terrific shot frcm S pen cor beat Pevry. After a period of defensive P' a y Rangers got going, Powell making ground through the centre and pcesing out to Lllburn, who nullified a good attempt by shooting behind Towards the latter stages of the game Bandera rallied, and Lilburn made a good attempt, to score, but wbb frustrated by Mitchell. However, Lamont secured and ehot well cut of Parlett's reach. Time was sounded immediately afterwards. Mr Cr. Black was referee. LINWOOD (6) v. Y.M.C.A. (0). At Linwood Park, Y.M.C.A. were quite outclassed by the clever Linwood team, the latter winning by 6 goals to nil. JUNIOR GRADE. Western 2 v. Celtic 1. Excelsior 5 v. St. Albans 0. THIRD GRADE.
