There is no gainsaying figures, and the fact that duiiug the past two ■weeks 2497 pairs of boots and shoes were sold at Stewart Robinson's sale of sample footwoar is ample proof tliat Christchurch folk appreciate good values. Of course, the prices asked at this sale are extreme y low, and represent a big saving of money on every purchase, but the generous response by the buving public is good encouragement to' Mr Stewart Robinson, of Crsnol street, to continue to "keep prices down/' When seen by a "Press" reporter, Mr Stewart Robinson definitely stated that he would continue this policy, and that he had already secured several lines at an advantageous figure. . t _ The importance of this, and the advantage of buying to-day can be realised when it is known that the Government is sl owing hides to 1 ave the_ country and that an all-round rise m tno price 'of footwear m imminent. ®
