In spite of the opposition of some clubs, a Northern Union Rugby team will tour Australia, and in all probability an Australian team will tour England in 1921. NEW ZEALAND v. NEW SOUTH WALES. (Received Jane 6th, 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 6. The teams for to-morrow's League match i "now Zoa'and—Pull-back, McCarthy; throe-j quarters, Wilson, Ifwerson, Mitchell, and McGregor; five-eighths, Ling; half, Walsh; for-| wards, Rukutai, Clarke, Tancred, Walterß, Williams, and Somers. CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION. The matches 6et down for the Show Grounds this afternoon are of a very interestins nature, as the four cluba playing are on almost equal terms for the championship. Linwood and Old Boys, who'will play on the -ortli ground, are only one point behind the two leading teams, Marists and Merivale, who will meet on the Oval. Both games should therefore bo very even, and some brilliant football may be looked forward to, especially as clubs are now beginning to show their beat form. A trial match will be played at English Park to-day to enable the selectors to pick a suitable team to represent Canterbury. In the match between Wools ton and Narareth, at South Belt, Woo.ston won by 2 goals (both scored by A. Snelling) to nil. Nazareth played a good game, especially tl\« smaller boys. THE GAME IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS. TROPHY PRESENTED FOR COMPETITION. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June'e. A special meeting of the Now Zealand Football Association was held to-night to consider means of fostering the "Soccer" game in the secondary schools of the Dominion. The following resolution was carried: "(1) That a trophy be provided for competition between the secondary schools is New Zealand on the lines of the Brown Shield; (2) That affiliated Associations be instructed to bring and maintain pressure on the masters of secondary schools, and, if need be, on the governing bodies of secondary schools, to allow the scholars at such schools, if they so desire, to play 'Soccer' as a school team, •with_ a view ultimately to the complete recognition of Association football as a school game alongside of other school games." A trophy was forthcoming at the meeting, and details of the competition will be arranged in due course by tho Council of tbo New Zealand Association.
