MONS RIBBON HORSE.
Tlic adjutant at Swnythling Remount Depot, Southampton, has received many offers for the 1914 draught horse which arrived at the depot from France labelled ' "Please give me a good home." The Lot so served throughout the campaign and wears the 1914 ribbon.
Offers have come from all classes, including generals, 'colonels, and a member of the City of London Corporation. One writes that it will have ,tho best attention and do light work on a golf links. The horso is now in quarantine (says a London paper of March' 14 th) > and will bo sold at the end of the month, 'when the adjutant will bid on behalf of anyone making the best offer. _ It is pointed out that, apart from sentimental v 1 le, the war veteran is wortn about £70.
