HUN GENERAL'S FATE.
BEATEN TO DEATH
PARIS. March IG. General von Arnim, who commanded tho army in Flanders in March, 1918, has been murdered at Asch, where ho has lately been residing. It appears that he fired on some peasants who wore trespassing on his grounds in search of firewood. As a consequence of this a mob invaded the chateau and killed the general by beating him to death with cudgels, afterwards pillaging the chateau. General von Arnim was 76 years of age.
