Mr Justice Sim arrived from Wellington by yesterday's ferry steamer.

The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister of Justice, arrived in Christchurch from the South on Saturday evening.

Mr Gerald E. Jones, of Auckland, who lias been convalescing in Christchurch for some time, returned to Auckland on Saturday evening.

Sir Franc's Bell, Attorney-General, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington on Saturday morning in order to meet the Arawa, on board of which Lady Bell is returning from England.

Lieutenant-Colonel W. Little lias taken over tho duties of principal medical officer at Feathcrston Camp in place of Lieutenant-Colonel GrahamRobertson, demobilised.

The Minister of Public Health, owing to pressure of business, finds it necessary to return to Wellington to-morrow night, and will he unable to be present at the reception to the Arawa.

Mr T. H. Hamer, who has been auditor in the High Commissioner's office in London for some years, is resigning from December 31st, 1919, and is to be given the regulation six months' loave of absence. A temporary appointment to the jjosition will be made by the Controller and Auditor-General until the end of the year when a permanent appointment will be made.
