Tryce, v/ho lias been transferred from the Paparoa prison to tho Waikeria. Reformatory, was met by his fellow officers at his residence on Wednesday evening and pressnted with a handsome suit case, suitably inscribed, Mr S. Price, on© oi the warders, in making the presentation, spoke in eulogistic terms of tho sterling' qualities, of Mr Tryce, who had always showed a willingness to*as£.jt others. Mr Trycc suitably responded. OBITUARY. Cable advice baa been received by Mr If. Anderson, sailmaier, Norwich C,\uay, Lyttelton, that." his youngest sou, Mr Stanley inorwicb Anderson, has died from pneumonia at Melbourne. Tho deceased was *21 years of age. He left Now Zealand about seven years ago and shortly after tho opening of hostilities joined "tho Royal Australian .Naval Dredging Train, with which unit, he saw service on Gollipoli ami at Suez. Prior to leaving tho Dominion lie was engaged as sgcond officer in tho collier Kittawa, and wa3 later employed in tho Burns Phiip service tradingto New Guinea. He was sitting for his first officer's certificate when h© contracted the 'discaso which caused his de«ath. Tho deceased was a brother of Lieut. >T. R. Anderson, officer in charge of No. ll Co. Senior Cadet® at Lyttelton. Other brothers are Mr H. A. Anderson, .first officer of tho Corinna, and Mr A. B. Anderson, who is engaged in the coastai trader Cygnet'. Tho late Mr Anderson was born in tho port. He was formerly a second class petty officer of tho -.aval ■Artillery Cadets. He h'ad returned from tho front about 12 months prior to his decease.
