At the Anglican General Synod today, Archdeacons Richards, Williams, and Johnston, and Canons Tisdall and Purchas, arid tho Dean of Nelson wero elected a Board of ThoolOgieal Studios.

The directors of tho Akaroa Butter Factory met on Wednesday, Mr A. J. Turner in the chair. The Dfepartment of Imperial Supplies forwarded a cheque representing the company's excess profits for 1918. The Department of Agriculture wrote in regard to tho sale of butter, and. to the methods of disposing of the annual output of factories. Word was received that the annual meeting of the South Island Dairy Association wonld be held in Dunedin on June 6th. The appointment of a delegate was held over. It was decided to pay out Is 4d per lb for butter-fat supplied during April. The manager reported that the factory had closed down on Tuesday, the output for the season being 65 tons, a slight increase on last year's.
