BOWLING.
BECKENHAM CLUB. The annual meeting cf the flJeckenham Bowling Club took place on Thursday evening, Mr H. Burgoyne (president) occupying the chair. Dr. Currie was elccted a member. , 'i"he annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Dr. Thacker; president, Mr X. Laver; vice-presidcnt, Mr J. Simpson; treasurer, Mr H. Mathiessn (re-elected); secretary, Mr H. Bott (re-electcd); auditor. Mr R. Maddren (rc-electcd); delegate to Centre, Mr H. Bott (re-e'.ectcdi; committee, Messrs E. Chegwin, T. McGallan, A. Jack, and T. Thomson; green supervisor*. Messrs C. Chegwin, B. Guinness, and T. Cornish. _ A social evening will be held at a later date, when the prizes won during the season will be distributed. A scheme was brought forward by Mr Chcgwin for the installation of an electricpump whereby the green could be watered from underneath instead of on top. After a lengthy discussion it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the incoming committee. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers.
