• MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Mr "W. T. Lester, J.P.. presided at the Lyttclton Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning, when Hiram Pethericb Dexter, charged ia remand with giving false information t-o the police, was further remanded to appear on Wednesday next. THE PICTURES. A varied and interesting programme wis submitted at tho Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday, the leading picture being a fine dramatic photo-play, "Fanatics." Viola •Dana will appear at to-morrow's sessions in a charming romance, entitled "Weaver oi Djeamß." The supports include Jhe open* ing episode of The Eagle's Eye," a 20-part serial, which deals with the secret eenrice of America and Germany. RUNAWAY HORSE. A horse attached to a cart owned bv Mi E. Edgar, dairyman, became frightened-wd j bolted along London street on Saturday afternoon. The animal ran across the channel on the south eide of the road, co!- [ liding with the verandah posts in front ol IJ. Mahar's drapery shop. Three of the posts and one of the shafts of the cart were smashed. The horse continued alon** the j street, and was finally brought to % hall neoi I the police etatioa on Sunnier road.
