GOVERNMENT CRITICISED

The "Star," retelling to Now Zealand's complaint, that a million carcases of meat which the British Government purchasod during the war still await shipment, while inferior American meat selling at high prices in the United Kingdom, declares that the Food Ministry throughout has played into the liands °f the American meat trade. ■ Great Britain possesses in the Australasian ment supplies a powerful weapon against the trust, but the Government doclines to uso it. The Government's policy irritates Australasia, and helps tho trust to rob the British consumers.
