AEROPLANE FALLS ON A HOUSE-TOP.
Residents of "Wood Green, Xorth London, had aii exciting oxperience ono morning in January. A largo aeroplane lost its bearings in a fog, and, il&seending over Bounds Green road, which runs from Wood Green to .Now Southgute, just north, of tho Alexandra Paiaeo, cropped on two j houses. * | People in the neighbourhood about i half-past eleven heard tho noise of the- ; aeroplane flying low above the cottage j hospital. It was not roalised it was in , difiicultics until suddenly it came down and landed on the roois of !Nos. 1 and pi Scott's Villas, Bounds Green road. There was a terrific crash, and the roof of fto. 2 collapsed. Immediate efforts were made tp rescue tnc pilot and observer who were the octuoants of the machine, and a fodder was placed against' tho side of tho house. Tho airmen extricated themselves from the wreckage, and although injured i they wero able to descend the ladder. They were convoyed to the Wood Green Cottage Hospital, where their -injuries were dressed. These were compftrativelj slight, but tho men wer© suffering from shock, unci v»*ere dctainGil! for several hours. j
