A remarkable record stands to the credit of Christ's Hospital, AVcst Horsham, where, among tho 800 boys, not a single case of influenza has occurred, although in the immediate neighbourhood the epidemic has been bad (remarks a London paper of December 23rd). For tho whole of the boys there has been a systematic daily washing of the nose with a weak solution of permanganate of potash, and instruction in the blowing of tho noso in order to attain tho desired effoct of keeping the passages free. To these measures, even moro than to inoculation, the immunity of tho school from influenza is attributed.
