WAR BURSARIES.
SIXTY-EIGHT AWARDED

WELLINGTON, March 21
At a meeting of the National War Funds Council to-day. the report of tho committee appointed to consider applications for bursaries recomxuenUod mat 08 of those who had applied should be awarded bursaries, subjeot to further enquiries as to lieaith and financial necessities, and also to a recommendation from the Registrar in the case of those who were in attendance at a university college, and of the headmaster of tho last school in cases whero they had not previously attended a college.
Tho report was adopted, and the necessary steps will be taken by telegraph in ordcr_ that thore may be no delay in awarding the bursaries. Tho remaining caSes will bo further enquired into.
