An inquest was held yesterday morning, before the Coroner, Mr 8. E. MoCar thy,. touching the aoath of Agnes McDowell, a married woman 66 years of age, who was found drowned in the Avon on Sunday morning near the East Bolt bridge. The evidence abowod that the deceased had been in indifferent health for some years past, and or late had been despondent. On Wednesday last she had been given on order for admission to the hospital for on operation. A verdict was _ returned that deceased committed Buicide whilu in a state of despondencv consequent on an impending operation.
