Two boys appeared in the Juvenile Court before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., yesterday, charged with having discharged a pea-rifle in a public street, and with having damaged a tank, the property r-f the C/nristrhurch Brick Co., to the exiens of ss. Both Iwys were convicted, their parents being ordered to pay costs, 2s 6d e.u-h, towards the cost of tho damage, and the pea-rifle was confiscated. In connexion with the same case, another boy was charged with the theft of 50 boxes of pea-rifle cartridges valued at £■>, the property of Messrs A-shbv. Bergh. and Co. One of the defendants in the previous case stated that he had bought the. cartridges from the present defendant for ]os. The boy was convicted and discharged, and an order was made for the return of tho cartridges.
