CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON. Thd following have been chosen to practice in view of the Shield Match at Wellington on the 22nd met.: —A. W. Thomas, R Read, E. G. Perrin, L. R. Brunton, H. B." Whitta, 0. E. Guinoy, H. 0. Watson, D. W. Roese, Dr. Fostor, J. Gray, R. H. Booth, J. McEwen, D. Hcßoth, A. R". Blank, R. C. Blunt, and W. R. Patrick. Practice commences to-day. CITY AND SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION. The Management Committer of the City and Suburban Association met la3t evening, Mr G. Duggan presiding. The question of appointing umpires was discussed, and it was decided that be appointed "for senior matches. A motion was carried convpyinrr thanks of the Association to the Grounds Committee of the Canterbury Association for the use of a wicket at Hagley Park on New Year's Day.
