A mandolin found at Lens is of special interest as showing a German soldier's ingenuity. The instrument is said to k;u"e been ma do out of tho following articles: Buttons, an officers revolver, a dirk handle, a comb, tho lmndio of a toothbrush, a giece of aeroplimo .wood, and a portion" of a trench prop!' It would be interesting to hear what sort,of & musical result is to be £ot out of this mandolin.
