Mr Daniels, Secretary of the Navy, has issued a statement welcoming the American warships, which will arrive from England on Boxing Day. He says that the aid of the American Navy, cooperating with the British Navy, gave such a predominance of 6ea power in the North Soa that the German Fleet did not dare to invite suicide by offering battle. Air Daniels said that the united efforts of both navies typified and cemented the bonds between Britain and America.
