FUNERALS.

THE LATE DR. DIAMOND

The funeral of tho lato Dr. . Diamond took place on Tuesday afternoon, tho interment being at the Riccarton churchyard. Tho service in the church and at tho graveside was conducted by his Lordship Bishop Julius, assisted by tho Rev. P. J. Cocke. The chief mourners were:—Mr 'W. THE LATE MR GEO. RUTHERFORD.

The funeral of the late Mr George Rutherford took place on-Tuesday. _ The cortege left the residence of Mr J; I'. Buchanan, Rugby street, for the Springfield cemetery at neon, and a number or friends of the deceased followed the hearse to the graveside, where the service was conducted by Canon Tv. S. llean.
