BONUS TO CIVIL SERVANTS.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAYMENT.
(PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)
WELLINGTON, December 17. It has been stated that the Government does not intend to pay the bonus to public servants beforo Christmas, and special complaint has been made in regard to the delay in the payment of the bonus to the Post and Telegraph service. Tho Postmaster-General stated to-day that arrangements Had been made to give the bonus to the memberß of the Post and Telegraph Department beforo Christmas, and the bonus would be so paid. With regard to the other branches of the public service the Minister said that ho feared there would bo such difficulties about audit that the bonus would not be available until January.
