It is reported from Posen that troops have summoned the fortress of Posen to surrender. They also demand the surrender of the -whole province. German newspapers describe the pellmell retreat of the German soldiers, who commandeered the trains, even the roofs and footboards of which were crowded. Some were swept off and killed when passing through the tunnels. The hopeless disorder is reminiscent of the terrible scenes in Russia. Pillaging and looting are in full swing, and the soldiers frequently attack the gendarmerie.

EXPLOSION IN A FACTORY. 200 PERSONS KILLED. LONDON, November 21. The "Tagliche Rundschau" states that over two hundred persons were killed by an explosion in a factory at Cologne, following the revolutionaries unsuccessful attempt to persuade the workers to strike.
