BOWLING.
SUMNER CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Sumner Bowling Club wes hold last night, whon *he vice-president, Mr H. W. Hcslop, presided. The delegate to the Centre was instructed to suDport last year's method of scoring, whereby matches wero decided by games instead of points. The grec-n superintendent reported the grcisn to b; in a forward state, and it was decided to open the season on October 12th. Four new members were elected.
