MAGISTERIAL. (Boforo Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. John Carlton, who, Sub-Inspector Mull any stated, had been drinking methylated spirits, was remanded lor a week for medical treatment. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. John Clarke (Mr Thomas) proceeded aeainst Andrew Lawrence for recovery of a debt of £5 13s 3d. Debtor was ordered to pay the amount m instalments of £1 per week] in default 14 days' imprisonment. , The. Christchurch Motor _ Exchange (Mr Thomas) proceeded against Harry Storeman for recovery of a debt or £4 19s. No order was made. In the case of Warre, Hockley and. Co., Ltd. (Mr Thomas) v. Joseph jßarron, debt £3 19s 4d, debtor was ordered to pay the amount forthwith: m default 14 days' imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay the Buick Sales Companv the sum of £5 6s forthwith, with a similar alternative, and to pay forthwith to Charles Carter (Mr | Thomas) £1.9s 4d; in default seven days imprisonment.
SOUTHBRIDGE. (Before Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M.) John F. Free made application for an order on a judgment summons against James Carson for £15 12s. After examining the defendant, the magistrate decided, not to make aiM ° r ft'a sitting of the Juvenile Court, three bovs were charged on several informations with breaking and entering and theft. They were convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called unon, the parents to refund the value of "the stolen property, and to pay expenses. Two of the lads were ordered to report to the Anglican clergyman every fortnight for a period,of twelve months.
