Germany is scandalised, says Mr F. W. "Wile "in the "Daily Mail," by the disclosure that Berlin tailors are charging £50 for suits. The National Association of Merchant Tailors denies that such prices are "usurious," alleging that cloth is so scarce that it is cheap at £6 fo £6 10s a yard. The "Berliner Tageblatt" insists that the tailors aro conscifencele6s profiteers, and that £30 to £30 10s is a "fair" price for an "elegant gentleman's suit/' even amid the admittedly abnormal conditions now existing.
