So short is the labonr supply at the village of Broomfloet, ia the East Riding, England, that tho vicar, the Rev. A. Holmes, at a funeral acted not only as clergyman, hut as sexton, belt ringer, and gravedigger. He tolled tho bell, assisted in opening a grave, and acted as clerk in the church, and as sexton at the graveside.
