In pursuance of the Heathcote Road Board Waterworks Act, 1900, the Road Boards Act 1909, the Municipal Corporations Act! 1908, and ito amendments, and tho Rating Act, 1908, a Water Rate in the Cashmere Riding of the County of Heathcote in respect to the ordinary supply within tho meaning of tho Heathcote County Supplementary Water By-laws, 1914: „ , (a) Upon all lands and buildings to which the water ifl supplied—(l) Where tho annua] rateable value in ■tho Valuation Roll does not exceed £13 10s a rate of 10s • per annum; (2) Where the annual value exceeds £12 10s a rate of 2J per cent, on eucli value, provided that in no case the rate for ordinary supply be leea than 10s per annum. (b) Upon all lands and buildings to which wator can be, but is not supplied, situated within 100 yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate of one-half of the rates above-men-tioned.
