OXFORD. / Tho Oxford County Council met on Tuesday. Present—ileers D. Hawk© (chairman), A. Baxter, J. McGrath, T. Powell, and H. Smith. ' The surveyor reported regarding the channelling of tho main stret, and was instructed to get the neceeary plant. Regarding trees 'for planting on the Maternity Home grounds, the surveyor was authorised to order the quantity required and get them planted, olbo to plant on the gravel reserve, Bexley. It was resolved to Gtrike a general rate on the new valuation of 9-16 d in the £1, the 'water rates~to be the same as last year, with I a special rate to provide* interest oti cost of construction of the Gammane creek waterrace. . .
