CASUALTIES.
An inquest concerning the death of James Bunting, labourer, aged 63 years, who was found hanging from a free at the Riccarton Racecourse on wcanesday afternoon, was held before Mr H. "W. Bishop, Coroner, yesterday. A verdict was returned that deceased committed suicide by hanging himself while in a stato of unsound mind. (press association" telegrams.) WELLINGTON, May 23. At the inquest concerning the death : of Miss Alice Pitt, 3 visitor from Christchurch, who was found dead in bed on Wednesday morning, a verdict j was returned that deceased was suffocated while in a fit. I DUNEDIN, May 23- i George Joycc, 15 years of age, residing at Caversham, and employeid at Ross and Glendining's factory, was fatally injured to-day bv being crushed in a lift. "
