ST. ALBAJS'S CI/08. .. sixteen A annual general meeting of the Si. Albans Bowling Club was held last evening, Sir P. Davidson presiding over a fair attendance. The annual report stated that the past year had been a very satisfactory one. The membership had been -well sustained, while financially the club had ended up the year with. a credit balance of £-24, the present debit balance at the bank being: -£73 7e 4d. There were no outstanding iiabi-xties or subscriptions. ITrom a piaying point of view the club had had a very highly successful yea,T. Incidentally, good work had beeu done for the Hod Cross Fund. • The croquet section of the club reported a very successful season generally. It was remarked that not a single subscription was outstanding-. The various reports and balance-sheets were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: -—President, llr C. i''. Kdgar; vice-president. Mr G. Callendar; lion, secretary, Mr D. K. Wood; hon. treasurer, Mr A. C. Reed; hon. auditor, Mr L. Jordan; committee, Messrs J. .N". Du Feu, M. Angus, W. Henley, and A. H. Bourn; green superintendent, left to incoming committee; delegate to Centre, lL W. Henley: match committee, Messrs W. Henley, A. H. Bourn, and D. E. Wood. It was decidcd thai the newly elected match committee should appoint one of its members solo selector for tho ensuing year. Trophies won during the past season wcro prceonted to tho successful bowlers by tlie ' president. In view of his many invaluable services to tho club the secretary, Mr 0. E. Wood, was made the recipient of a travelling rug.
