The Christchurch sittings of the Second Canterbury Military Service Board wer© continued venterday, the members of the Board being: —Messrs H. W. Bishop (chairman), M. G. Rich, and V, T. E.'dridgs, with Major Gresson, military representative. Thomas Mason, fishmonger, applied for an extension of time in which to eell his business, there being financial obligations due to a man at the front. Hp was ordered into camp on the original date, August 12th, but received a promise from Board that if he were unsuccessful in disposing of tho business by then after making an honest endeavour to do so, the Board would grant him a re-heaving. The Christchurch Fir© Board appealed on behalf of fiv© of its employees, Cyril V. Brooks, John Gash, Jas. 11. Kirk, and William McKittrick, ballotees. and Alex. W. B.
