STEPS FOR RELEASE OP HUNTER LANGLEY, AND FLOOD. According to Mr J. McCombs, M.P i ;he gaoler at Lyttelton yesterday aftcrloon roceivod a communication from tho Justice Department, dirocting him send to Wellington the undertakings 3f tho imprisoned men, Hiram Hunter, T/ungley, and Flood, that they will abldo j.v tho Govcrnmcnt'H conditions of their release, and also to forward tho names 7f tho men willing to find sureties for them. The nnmcß of cloven men willing to net in this capacity were telephoned to the gaoler ;is soon as possible yestorduy, although only six were required. Mr McCombs stated that !io understood that tho names and tinlertakings had been sent to Wellington forthwith. He himself had tclegrnphed to the Hon. T. M. "Wilford, Minister for Justice, _ regarding uto matter, and the Minister had repho" that the business of releasing the was procnrling as expeditiously as P OS " iible. 1 Mr MrCombs added that the Town Clerk had intimated his willingness to iccept the nomination of Hunter for the forthcoming City Council by-elec-tion.
