Christmas galloped Killjoy late on Saturday, and the Kilbroney marc wont so badly, and showed so pointedly that she was still suffering from the kick Slogan gave her on the evo of Oamaru -Meeting, that he decided to let the marc and Slogan drop out or their engagements at the Duneain Winter Meeting.

Slogan (F. Gray) was given a couple of turns over the pony hurdles yesterday, and. gave a very good showing.

Tremens gave such a good showing over seven furlongs on Saturday, that she has become a solid fascy for the big race at Oamaru.

* (Bt "Searchlight.")

Little fast work was accomplished at Addizigton yesterday. The track is in fair order, and for "this time of the year is providing good going.

Admiral Wood and Llectrocuto were companions in a two-mile work-out, both moving pleasingly, but neither was out for time making. Admiral "Wood worked without the straps, and looks in nice condition.

E. Berry gave Olive L., Our Chimes, and Golden Peter useful exercise; the trio arc looking well.

C. Johnston did not ask Agathos, Frank Tracey or Bank Note to do much. The maiden pacer by Bogash was sent along in patches, and showed a nice turn of sDeed.

A. Cox worked several of his team, including the three-year-old gelding by Galindo from Arclight. Marietta, Lottitia, Reta Peter, and Red Heather. The two last-named were responsible for a pleasing mile, and are evidently very well at present.

Others to exercise thoir horses wero T. G. I'ox, C. Jaines, J. McDermitt, and J. Bradley.

G. H. Chambers is a regular visitor at Addington with a four-year-old maro by O.Y.M. from a Wallace L. mare. At present sho is very cxcitable, and will require a lot of work before she is ready to race'. j

Mintson is in commission again, and being driven in his work at Addington by A. Butterfiold, who will pilot the son of Papanui in the King George Handicap at Canterbury Park next month.

Don Cansar will nob be a starter in the Final Handicap at Canterbury Park.

The aged grey mare Perthetta by Al;nont Junior from a Lauderdale mare, ,vho ran unplatted in the Amateur Handicap at Forbury Park, has arrived from the South and joined R. Allan's team.

R J. Munro is working the grey marc faddy Wilkes, who claims engagement •l the Amateur Handicap at Canterbury.

Nelson Bros, disposed of their four-•ur-old pacing gelding by Wildwood •:ior at auction on Saturday for £12 10s, K. Dunn has for the present retired .5 a public trainer, and joined Oakuampton Lodge. Cello Sydney Wilkes, recently trained by him, has joined J. Bryce's string, and Annie Dillon has gone into B. Jarden's^stable. Tho report that Beewood is to be giron a spell is incorrect, as the Blackwood mare is amongst thoso in work at Oakhamptou Lodge, and, all going well, will bo raced at Canterbury Park on June 3rd. , .

Mr J McGirr's pacing mare Volo, an inmate of J. Bryce's stable, is an unlikely starter in the principal two-mile race at the South Wairarapa Trotting Club's Annual Meeting.
