The following enlisted in Christchurcii on Saturday tor active service: — F. E. West, 19 Woodville street, St. Albans, carpenter, Class C., Second Division
C. H. Dullow, 107 North road, Papanui, labourer, age 10.
Over 3,000,000 feet of timber is cut by Canadian forestry companies >u France every day. Sixtj' million feet are, it is estimated, used every week on tho Western front. In one day special plants turned out several thousand parts for a new series of luxurious dug-outs that now house British troops.
