CONCERT AT RANGIORA

Last evening the Canterbury Caledonian. Society's concert party gave an entertainment in the Rangiora Institute Ifnll in aid of the fundi) of the local Patriotic Committee. There was a full house and the programming with hearty appreciation, some of tho performers being twice recalled. .The programme, which was wider the direction of Mr C. S. Thomas, president of tho Society, consisted oi pipe selections by Pipo-Major T A Taylor, eon?i» by Mrs A. L. Scott, and Misses J. and R. McJarrow, Mesßre Bracey AViiflon, and R. Malcolm, recitations by Mrs MnJarrow and Mr Malcolm, conoertina aelcctione by Messrs C. and J. Campbell and step dunces by Misses Flora Shaw, C. Mcintosh, and Greta Ikumelberg. Mrs L. A. Smith was tho accompanist. Tho party, on the motion of the Hon. D. Buddo M.P., was a<;rnrded a hearty vote of thanks and tho kird°<f7oi B. Wilson and H. Truscott in motoring the pJrty out was similarly acknowledged.
