PAPARUA ESCAPEE
WARDEN RECAPTURED.
After four days of freedom, Robert Dickson Wnrclen, the prisoner who escaped from the Paparua prison, was recaptured last night.
Ever since his escape, the police have kept a particularly vigilant-. eyo open for any sign of hfm, and aibout ,10.20 Inst night Sergeant O'Gradv saw him in tlie vicinity of the Opera House, and promptly arrested him. Warden, who made no demur about accompanying the sergeant, was by himself, and was wearing a suit of ordinary private clothes. He was lodged in the "cells nt the police station and will appear before the Magistrate this morning.
