OTTAWA, May 14.The Amsterdam correspondent of tho "Now York Globe" interviewed a Dutch traveller from Germany, who stated that hatred of Austria is growing in Germanv. The" feeling is that if the Central rowers lose the war it will bo because of tho incapacity and insufficient support received from Austria. The publication of Emperor Karl's peacc letter, in reference to Alsace-Lorraine, brought the resentment to the highest pitch, and Austria's refusal to send troops to the West front increased Germany's contempt.

AMSTERDAM, May 14.
Owing to the insufficiency of revenue from indirect taxation, Germany proposes to levy a non-recurrent wartime income tax, raising 1,200,000,000 marks.
