CASUALTIES.
A shocking fatality occurred ahout half-past ten on Saturday night on the railway line between Runanga and Dunollie, the victim being Mr J. O'Neill, a well-known Runanga resident. When walking to his home along tho line through the cutting near Dunollie he was overtaken and run over bv the late train proceeding to Grnvmouth from Itowanui. The body was" verv much mutilated when found, and death must have been instantaneous. The late Mr O'Neill was engaged as engine driver at the Rewanui mine. He formerly was a driver on the Tailvavs, and a driver at tho mines at Denn'iston. O'Neill, the well-known boxer, io a son of the deceased. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, May 14. Martin Brady, a long-sentence prisoner, committed suicide in Mount Eden Gaol last night by hanging himself in a cell by a hammock rope.
