MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.

A sitting of the Second Canterbury Military Service Board was hold at Ashburton yesterday. Present —Messrs H. Bishop (chairman), M. G. Rich, F. T. 'Eldridge, and Major Gresson (military representative). An extension of time to Juno 17th was granted George Adams, Methven, and George Callaghan, Highbank. The following were given till July 15tn: — Gordon Stewart Campbell, Springburn; Joseph Clifford, Mayfield; Harold L. Chisnall. Hinds. Samuel Allen, Methven, was allowed to May 20th. • Robert Henry Brawley, Methven, was allowed till July Ist, as was also Reginald Toogood Coward, Aehburton. • David Chambers, Methven, was allowed till August 12th. The appeal of Francis Philip Cookson, We - terfield, classed a a C 2, was adjourned sine die. The appeals of Stanley Oscar Dalziel, wcsp terfield, and Michael Fitzgerald, Lyndlmrst, were referred to tho Efficiency Board. The following were allowed till August 12th:—Robert Victor Gcddes, Methven; Daniel McCulnor, Methven; John , Sloan, Chertsey. f Thomas John Hampton, Metnven, was Allowed till May 20th. John Georgo Miller, Methven, was allowed till July Ist; Charles Edward Ingham, Ashburton, till July 29th; Gordon Noel Harrison, Mayfield, and Thomas McDowell, Wakanui, till July loth. Charles Herbert Ingham, Methven, waa allowed till Juno 17th.

Tho tfppeal of David Johnston, Lyndhurst, was adjourned sine die. John W. Baxter, Ruapuna, waa alloyed till August 12th; Robert John Low, Ban-hill, till July 15th; and Douglas G. Wright, Windermere, till Juno 3rd. A sine die adjournment was granted to Alexander Davidson, Lismore; and tho appeals of Andrew Bremner, Ashburton, and Cecil Walkham (classed C 2) were allowed; The appeal of John Wilson, Methven, was referred to the Efficiency Board.
