ARRIVED—May 10.
Corinna (7.33 a.m.), from Timaru. Mararoa. (8.40 a.m.), from Wellington, Orepnki (4.10 a.m.), from Greymouth.
SAILED—May 10. Mara roa,. (6.40 p.m.), for Wellington. W-ttkatu (8.50 p.m.), for ICuikoura. SHIPPING NOTES. Tho Corinna arrived from Timaru early yesterday morning, and will now leave for Nelson and New Plymouth on tho arrival of tho 12.10 p.m. train from Chriitchurch. Tho Rosamond arrived at liyttelton last evening from Wellington, and will . probably sail for the South this evening. The Kittawa waa to leave Greymouth last evening, and should reach Lyttelton on Sunday afternoon.
Tho Defender is expected to return to this port on Monday, from Wellington. The llonowai is timed to leave Auckland on Tuesday, in order to pick up her usual running. She will omit her usual call at Napier and Gisborne, arrive in Wellington on Friday, and reach here next Saturday.
The Te Anau, on completing discharge of her Wellington cargo at Dunedin, will go to Port Chalmers for butvcj'.
A fast trip was made by a barquentine recently between Melbourne and New Zealand. She covered the distance in 12 days. From the time she cleared the heads at Melbourne until she anchored in her final port tho wind was constantly in her favour.
