LE BONS BAY. At the- monthly meeting of the Le Bons Bay Road Board Air W. G. Dalgleuh was elected chairman for tlio coming term. Tho chairman reported thnt the members had, in company with the County Council's representatives, inspected the damago done to tho wharf road, estimating it at £12J. It wag resolved- to ask tho Aliaroa County Council for a grant towards the repairing of the road and the wharf, which had also been damaged by the heavy ees. Subscription listp would be taken round, badges would bo sold, and socials held with tho usual accessories to assist,in accumulating funds to place their king at th» head of tho Carnival. On Slay Ist the cheese factory had closed, | the season being a record one as far as production was concerned, over 100 crates above others seasons having been exported.
