ASHLEY. Tho Ashley County Council met at Loburn on Thursday, Mr Hugh Knsor presiding. After full consideration, tlio Council regretted it could not accede to Mr Croft's application for liverbank protective works below the Ashley traffic, bridge. The increase of ono 'shilling, as previously notified, on the len for dog registration, was ordered to cfTcct on July- Isi. The list of unpaid rates for the' paet ye if WB3 considered, and fourteen days allowed for payment prior to action by the solicitor.
