A new economic arrangement has been concluded between Switzerland and representatives of the Allies, whereby the former undertakes to supply the Allied Governments with a certain quantity of wood for a period of eight months, the Allies making important concessions regarding the supply of food to Switzerland. (Australian and N. 2. Cable Association.) STOCKHOLM, May 5. The Swedish Finance Minister stated that Sweden would receive a. quarter of a million tons of corn, 300,000 tons of foodstuffs, and a quantity of other vital necessities, in exchange for giving 300,000 tons of .shipping lying in foreign ports to the Entente Powers. MADRID, May 5. The Ministry of War propo'ses reforms entailin/ an additional outlay of £52,000,000.
