The balance-sheet was adopted subject to audit.

Vt'AKAiS U.T. The annual meeting of the ratepayers of the Wakanui Road Board district was held on Saturday, when Mr J. Bruco presided, lno annual report stated that no grading had been done during the year. The financial position of the Board was satisfnetorv, £200 having been invested in war bonds. The monthly meeting wae then Held, when Mr Bruco was re-elected chairman for tho ensuing your. The Ashburton County Council wrote staling that they were willing to pay one-third tho cost of nil bridges over natural crecks, all bridges to be concrete where possible.
