UNSAVOURY WELLINGTON CASE.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.J ■WELLINGTON, May 6. The hearing of cases arising out of a raid on an alleged house of ili-famc at Kelburn * was commenced in the Magistrate's Court to-day, when five women were charged, one with keeping the house, and the others with assisting in its management. Inspector Marsack said that as complaints had been made regarding the house, it had been kept under observation. Actual acts of immorality had been seen, and a large number of men, principally soldiers and officers off ships in the harbour, had been seen frequenting the house. After the evidence of a number cf witnesses had been taken, the casewas adjourned till to-morrow.
