CASUALTIES.
Wlnle out- shooting on Sunday, at Stewart's Gully, a young man named Albert Large, was ■ accidentally shot in the thigh. He was attended to by Dr. Crawshaw, of Kaiapoi, and later was removed to Christchurch.
At an inquest held at Ashburton on Saturday, before the district coroner, Mr James Cow, into the death of TYedorick Itodd, aged 74, who died suddenly at his residence, Winslow, on Saturday morning, a verdict was returned that death was due to heart failure.
C„ Turn bull, aged 19, employed at the Woolston Tanneries, fell from a window yesterday and dropped about loft. He received internal injuries, and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
