SUSPICION AGAINST TRAWLERS.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, May 6. Two steam trawlers. Countess and Muriel, owned by Sanford, Ltd., have been arrested by "tho Inspector of Fisheries on suspicion of trawling within the prohibited area i» the Gulf. Both trawiers will be allowed to continue trawling, but the Department does not waive the right to ultimate seizure, and if proceedings are taken, and a conviction recorded, the value of the fish will be claimed by the Department. The masters of -both vessels deny that they have been trawling m the prohibited ana.
