WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.
* The moLtlilv meeting of the Waimakariri Harbour Board was held at Kaianoi vcsterOay, Mr W. Doubleday presiding. The harbourmaster reported that the ccpth of v;alcr on the bar was now 7ft 6in. There had been several heavy easterly seas during tho month, washing a good deal of 6ond off the north spit into the river. The river cnaanel ehowed about 3ft of water at tido. The report- was adopted. The Finance Committee reported the receipts since last meeting to have heen A'll 383, the credit bank balance being £C 4a 6i Tho report. was adopted. After the ordinary meeting, the annual meeting waa held, and llr Doubloday was elected chairman for the ensuing year'. Committees were elected as follows Finance Meesre L-. B. Evans (chairman), J. Corbjtt' and L. Edmond; Works, Meaare J. Barnard (chairman), J. H. Reay, J. Wright, sjjd K. Mcintosh.
