LABOUR AND THE WAR. (By Cablo.—Frees Association.- -opyright.) (Router's .TelogTamfi.) LOXDON, May 2. Mr Arthur Henderson specifically informed the "Evening Standard" that no conference with the German Social Democrats was now possible until they accepted the position of no annexations, no punitive indemnities, and the right of self-determination, and until thoy were ready to press their Government to apply these principles of honesty unreservedly to every question, political or territorial, with the readjustment of which any official peace congress would have to deal. Mr Henderson expressed himself decidedly against doing anything likely to embarrass the Government or hinder the prosecution of the war.
