LADY LIVERPOOL DEPOT NOTES.
An opportunity will be given those desirous of purchasing home-mado cakes and sweets for Easter by Mesdames Bingham, Wyatt, and Bullock, who have arranged to liavo a stall in Cathedral square on Wednesday, March 27th, for the sale of these goods. Many gifts have been promised, and the ladies will welcome further donations, and hope to realise quite a good sum for tho Liverpool Depot Parcel Fund. Donations of cakes and sweets may be left at the depot on Tuesday, March 2oth. or stall, Square, Wednesday, March 27th. A beautiful gold watch and vase presented to tho committee, and which the promoters of the Carnival of Merriment- undertook to dispose of some time ago. has resulted in the sum ot £2L 2s being realised. The lucky winner of the watch is Miss Aymes, itedcliffs, with the ticket No. 83, and the vase Ray Wright, "The Rowans," Leicester street, with the ticket No. 11 < i Tiniaru, Akaroa, Ashburton, anu Pendarvcs branches sent in a beautiful collection of goods this week; also Mrs Marriott's Sewing Bee, while very generous gifts came from Darfield, Jjinwood, Dalliugton Soldiers' Aid, Southbridge Horticultural Society, Kaikoura, and Hineinoa Swimming Club. .
